Parent Involvement:
P.S. 110's status as one of New York City's best public schools would not be possible without the active support of its Parent Teacher Association. The PTA organizes a number of activities including fundraising events, parent development workshops, moving-up ceremonies and our annual multicultural celebration. Money raised by the PTA benefits the school in many ways, such as providing sports equipment for the phys-ed program, school uniforms to needy families, funding for afterschool programs and much more. P.S. 110 prides itself in having an open and welcoming community of parents who strive to continually improve the quality of the education and overall school experience for our kids. Please visit the PTA website for more information.
Parents may also become involved as members of the School Leadership Team, or SLT. This group, composed of teachers, administrators & parents, acts as an advisory body to help the administration develop and implement the school's Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). Parent members are elected by the PTA and serve for the school year.
